Azerbaijan's national air carrier, AZAL, in collaboration with the public union “Birgə və Sağlam”, organized a tailored excursion for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder.
The event coincided with World Autism Awareness Day, observed annually on April 2. The goal of the tour, implemented as part of Azerbaijan Airlines' corporate social responsibility strategy, is to facilitate the support and integration of vulnerable groups within society.
The excursion provided a remarkable exploration of the aviation world, highlighted by a visit to the state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo aircraft. Guests showed keen interest in learning about the aircraft and had the chance to sit in the cockpit for photos.
Furthermore, tour participants had the opportunity to visit the Cynological Service of AZAL's General Aviation Security Department.
To conclude the tour, attendees received Airbus A320neo aircraft replicas as mementos.
