AZAL and Turkish Airlines to Discuss Prospects for Cooperation in the Aviation Sector

Strengthening cooperation in the field of civil aviation and further development of air links between Azerbaijan and Turkey was discussed at a meeting between Samir Rzayev, First Vice-President of AZAL CJSC, and Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 79th IATA Annual General Meeting in Istanbul.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the national air carriers of Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as the possibility of expanding the route network between the two fraternal countries were discussed.

According to Samir Rzayev, Turkey is one of Azerbaijan's key partners in the aviation sector and cooperation between airlines is of great importance for both states.

In turn, Ahmet Bolat expressed confidence that a successful partnership will contribute to strengthening tourism, economic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Both sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen partnership relations and jointly develop projects in the field of civil aviation, including the exchange of experience.
