January 5, 2016, Baku – Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) organized a guided tour to some civil aviation facilities for children of the 4th grade of the Classical Gymnasium №160 in Baku.

First, the school childrengot familiar with “Silkway Technics” hangar complex, which has all conditions for maintaining all types of modern aircrafts in accordance with the world standards.

After that, children came to the Baku Airport, where employees of the Aviation Security Canine Service told the children about keeping and training dogs, and how "man's best friend" serves for the safety of passengers and help to combat smuggling.

The next destination within the tour was the Airport Fire Service. The Fire Service employees talked about the structure of a fire truck, showed a firefighter uniform, rescue equipment and how water and foam are pumped. Most of the children during the tour showed excellent knowledge while answering such questions of the firefighters’ as what numbers should be dialed in case of fire and what to do in a dangerous situation.

The tour ended with a visit to one of the most modern passenger aircraft in the world - Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Children were greeted by pilots and flight attendants of Azerbaijan Airlines, who introduced the airliner, first-class, business and economy classes to the school children. The school children also had the luck to take seat of pilots in the cockpit.
