The national air carrier of Azerbaijan (AZAL) will facilitate the procedure for purchasing air tickets for flights between Baku and Nakhchivan - in the near future, tickets can only be purchased online on the official website of the airline - www.azal.az.
This change will significantly reduce the time a passenger spends at AZAL ticket offices and make the process of buying tickets much easier and more transparent for him.
The exact date of the full transition to the online sale of air tickets in this direction will be announced later.
The cost of air tickets for flights within the republic is regulated by the Tariff Council and currently in the directions of Baku-Nakhchivan and Nakhchivan-Baku is 60 manats for citizens of Azerbaijan and 70 manats for foreign citizens. To avoid possible fraud, we ask passengers to be careful and buy tickets only on the official website.
In addition, for disabled children under the age of 18, students, as well as disabled people of groups I and II, there is a discount of 10 manats. Only these categories of passengers can issue tickets at the airline's official ticket offices at the airports of Baku and Nakhchivan. When purchasing tickets, these passengers must submit the relevant documents.
It should be noted that daily AZAL operates 4 regular flights on the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route and, depending on the demand and technical capabilities of the airline, puts additional flights on this route.
Even with high demand during the transportation season, the number of flights on this route exceeds all forecasts. In the last week alone, up to 10 flights were operated on this route daily and more than 2,000 passengers were transported daily.
